Junior Golf Academy and Global Fairway Seekers

2007 Play Day and Tournament Calendar

Dallas, Fort Worth, Detroit, Atlanta, Augusta, South Carolina, Los Angeles and Florida have come together, uniting our talents and expertise, to encourage aspiring young golfer’s to use their golfing skills and academic excellence to obtain formal education at it’s highest level.

Report cards, regular attendance, attitude and class participation are major determining factors for USGA Kid’s on Course Cards and the following tournaments and scholarship opportunities.

Competition, at the highest level to be considered for participation in the following tournaments (3.0 GPA and 9 handicaps or below):

Ê BDI (Bill Dickey Invitational) Disney

Ê AJGA (American Jr. Golf Association)

Ê IJGT (International Jr. Golf Tour)

Ê US Jr. World (Tiger Woods)

The following tournaments require a 3.0 GPA:

Ê WSGA Junior Championship (7 yrs. - College age)

Ê US Kid’s Competition (5- 12 yrs. of age)

Ê Golf Channels Drive Chip & Putt (6 – 14 yrs. of age)

Ê North Texas Jr. PGA (10 – 17 yrs)

To qualify for course play, students in all areas must:

1. Show report cards;

2. Take a written test on golf course etiquette, rules, etc.;

3. And, take a playing ability test to demonstrate they are capable of negotiating safely and without delay on golf

courses.

If student is a beginner, he or she will go to golf course driving ranges for instruction and practice. When the student or the instructor feels the participant is ready to play on course at the prescribed levels, a visual and written evaluation, by the instructor in each city, will determine the participant’s eligibility.

Students desiring to compete in events sanctioned or hosted by, WSGA, USGA, etc. must meet requirements set by the National Organizations in alliance with the Roaring Lambs International Global Fairway Seekers (Adult umbrella).
