
Roaring Lambs International Junior Golf Academy is a program designed to teach and develop golf and life skills in youth ages 7 to 18. We utilize the game of golf to address characteristics inherit in the game, such as integrity and honesty. Golf has been characterized as the “thinking person’s game” and a “gentleman’s sport”. Golf’s reputation allows Roaring Lambs to utilize the sport as a vehicle to teach personal responsibility, honesty, integrity, non-violence, analytical skills and proper social etiquette.
Roaring Lambs “Global Fairway Seekers” are adults who unite with like minded adults globally to utilize the golf component for fun, education, and travel to oversee and focus on commitments to promote fairness and organization stability for every one.

* Dues are used for organizational expenses, WSGA membership, Ghin handicaps, Travel and Special Events.
* Parent / Guardian must attend a “Parents’ Meeting” for the Academy Juniors
Golf is a sport that requires skills that are developed through practice. Therefore, class attendance, course play and additional practice are essential for skill development and progress. Perfect attendance is expected of Roaring Lambs Juniors. The golfer whose attendance is consistent demonstrates enthusiasm for the program and dedication to developing their individual skills. Students whose attendance is consistent will be able to take advantage of membership benefits such as participation in field trips, tournament play and Ambassador opportunities.
Ê Attendance in the DFW/Metroplex is taken at Saturday classes and is evaluated on quarterly basis.
Ê Attendance in Detroit, Atlanta, Augusta, San Antonio, Florida, California and Bermuda to be determined by the President.

When unable to attend a play day, class activity or library session, please contact your area President. By informing us, it allows us to make accurate adjustments for the golf course for the day.
Golfers must be on time for play days and classes. Lateness is not acceptable. In the world of golf, players are disqualified for lateness regardless of the reason. However, if you will be late please contact the course or play day chairperson.
The R/L Global Fairway Seekers take great pride in the quality of its members, host facilities and a broad community involvement. In order to continue making clinics and tournaments enjoyable for everyone, the Roaring Lambs require all members and guests to adhere to a guideline known as the Code of Conduct. Its purpose is to help participants grow and mature by understanding and accepting the consequences of their actions. The Code of Conduct must be followed by junior golfers as well as adults throughout involvement in the program.

Ê One-stroke penalty for each act of unsportsman-like behavior on the golf course.
Ê A serious act of unsportsman-like behavior may result in immediate disqualification
Ê Unsportsmanlike-like conduct may result in a loss of eligibility for future tournaments (juniors) or other privileges as a Roaring Lambs member.
Ê Use of drugs or alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products
Ê Vandalism of property
Ê Cursing or Abusive Language
Ê Fighting
Ê Chiding/Mocking
Ê Theft
Ê Disrespecting authority figures and/or fellow RL Members
Penalties for Violating the Code of Conduct
1st Violation Student / Adult receives a verbal warning
2nd Violation, Student / Adult receives a written warning
3rd Violation, Student / Adult will be asked to leave the program.
Roaring Lambs reserves the right to suspend or revoke a player’s membership for a major breach of the code of conduct without adhering to steps 1 and 2.
In the event of a suspension, adult player will be required to submit a written account of conduct violation to the Executive Committee within 30 days of the suspension. The Committee will determine the length of the suspension after reviewing all submitted materials, including a staff account of the violation. The same applies to a junior member however his/her parent/guardian must also submit a written request.
Ê Hats/Visor must be worn with the brim forward, males must remove hat/visor while indoors at host facility
Ê Collared shirts must be worn tucked in at all times
Ê Women’s fashion shirts without a collar are acceptable
Ê Women’s shorts must be no more than 5 inches above the knee or the in-seam of the shorts must measure at least 5 inches

Proper Attire is required at all times. The Rules and Special Concerns Committee will review questionable attire. Should a host facility have a stricter dress code, its policy will take precedence. Junior players in violation of the dress code will not be allowed to participate in the days activities
Level Advancement
Golfers receive classroom training and are tested on golf rules and etiquette. Golfer should progress to Level II within 3 months.
Golfers view introductory tapes on golf swing techniques and receive instruction from certified volunteer and PGA instructors. Golfers practice swing at driving range and on golf course. Golfers are evaluated and approved for course access.
Level Three
Golfers participate in golf course play and develop swing and play strategy. Junior golfers receive golf profiles and are evaluated for tournament play. Advancement to Level IV is based on player ability. (Level III High School Students receive preparation for college advising and complete golf scholarship applications).
Golfers participate in golf course play and continue to develop swing and play strategies. Golfers at this level are eligible to travel and represent the Roaring Lambs in ranked and AJGA tournaments.

The Director and Area Presidents select students as Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, you may assist Level I and II golfers, and, represent Roaring Lambs at special events.
Roaring Lambs juniors may be eligible for tournament exemptions. Tournament exemptions are a privilege based on the player’s level of play, participation in the program and conduct. The Director will grant tournament Exemptions.
A Roaring Lamb Junior may have an opportunity to travel to various tournaments, clinics, exhibitions and field trips. If a junior is selected to travel with the group they are expected to be on their best behavior. Being a part of the Travel Team is a privilege and may be based on the level of play, participation in the program, and conduct. The Director and Area Presidents will determine the Travel Team.
